Explore 42 mapped service areas, compare supported route options and keep trusted people updated, with on-device privacy and no account.
HomeSafe supports 42 service areas: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, San Francisco, New York City, Los Angeles, Peninsula & South Bay, Chicago, Seattle, Boston, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Toronto, Vancouver, Montréal, Barcelona, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Rome, Paris, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Jakarta, Istanbul, Cairo, Milan and Cape Town. These are bounded product areas, not complete metropolitan coverage. Data and features vary by city. In-app route planning is withheld in Beijing and Shanghai in this build; their on-device directories and user-initiated emergency dialing remain available. Unsupported local incidents and transit information remain unavailable. Outside supported areas the app says it is not in your area yet.
No. HomeSafe never contacts emergency services on your behalf and has no ability to dispatch anyone. Within verified coverage, its Help screen offers numbers you dial yourself, such as 911 in the United States or 112 in India; outside verified coverage it does not guess an emergency number. Messages to trusted contacts are composed for you and sent only when you tap Send.
It is a 0-100 rating of a route against signals the app can genuinely observe, such as locally supported mapped street-lighting surveys, mapped place results, road type and available weather context. Place results do not establish current opening hours, staffing or crowds. Community reporting is disabled in this build and contributes nothing to the score. Tapping the score shows the full breakdown, free, on every route. It supports your judgement; it is never a guarantee that a route is safe.
No HomeSafe account is required. Trips, saved places and history stay on the device. Community reporting is disabled in this build for all markets, so no new report is accepted or sent to CloudKit. Previously submitted records may remain and can still be deleted or moderated; trip updates leave through Messages only after you review them and tap Send.
The app is free to download and the safety rating, the full score breakdown, the fare comparison and the Help screen are free for everyone. An optional HomeSafe+ membership adds depth such as route alternatives and the money ledger. Paying never buys a different safety score or faster check-ins.
